It's also a well-produced book on a physical level. The pages are of thick paper intended to prevent bleeding through or your colors, but this is not 100% effective. You can use gel pens, markers, watercolors, and of course, colored pencils, but you should test your own and use a backing page when coloring if there is some bleed through. The pages are also perforated - always a nice touch. These pages are nice enough to give instead of greeting cards, so it's great that they can be removed easily.
