This is another adult coloring book from the Disney studio. It shares the superior construction and packaging that other Disney coloring books boast, and does better than some with the selection of coloring designs. The overall quality is a nice surprise if you are used to some of the cheaper throw-away's that are out there. This book is meant to be kept and enjoyed, and makes a impressive gift.
The board covers give this book a nice feeling of sturdiness and they are very attractive, enhanced by metallic foil stamping. The binding is sewn, rather than glued. That makes for a more robust book if you want to keep it intact. Alternatively, it makes it easy to do a little surgery to dismantle the book for access to individual sheets. (Pages are not perforated.)
Disney princess coloring book
Paper quality is good and fairly thick, but as with other Disney coloring books, the designs are printed on both sides of the pages. You can safely use colored pencils (which look great on this paper) or gel pens, but most any kind of marker will bleed through to the other side of the page.
The images are often beautiful, but the count of 100 pages of designs is a little misleading. There are indeed 100 pages, but not 100 princesses. There are 24 double page designs that feature repeating "wallpaper" patterns or mirror-image mandala-like patterns. Some of these are quite nice, and rather elaborate, but not obviously anything to do with Disney princesses. Like most geometric/patterned coloring designs, hey can be fun and relaxing to fill in.

The center of the book features a nice double-page illustration that can be removed whole or colored in place. There are another 36 single pages with more repeating motifs. So a bit less than half are really Disney characters. That's still a lot of princesses; just be aware of what you are getting. And while quite a few pages feature Bell, Cinderella and Ariel, there is overall a good variety. You get everything from classics like Snow White to the modern era Merida. The scenes are also creatively varied, with classic silhouettes and even scenes from the movies. Overall, lots of iconic characters who you will enjoy spending your time with!
